PlaneSmart! Aviation finished construction of its new headquarters facility at the Addison Airport (ADS) and began operations from the new base last week.

WHILE THE ECONOMIC DOWNTURN WAS devastating to aircraft manufacturers and their suppliers, there was one segment of the industry, shared ownership, that saw its business hold the line and even, in some cases, expand.

PlaneSmart Aviation...realized last year that it needed bigger facilities if it wanted to keep growing.  ...It turned out to be a marriage made in heaven, or at least in Addison.

When Bill Lear rolled out his first jet in the mid-sixties, the business community saw a remarkable new tool that delivered almost unlimited flexibility in travel schedules and efficiency. The real milestone,  however, would come in the mid-eighties when NetJets launched the first fractional aircraft ownership company.
