Leases work well for pilots and non-pilots alike. Lessees may select from several air lease usage plans to fit their individual travel needs. With lease, you will share access to one or more aircraft and have operational control for each flight you make. If you are an interested and qualified pilot you can do the flying, or simply hire a pilot to take you where you want to go.

Aircraft Management

PlaneSmart!’s aircraft management program is a comprehensive service at the direction of each aircraft owner including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Manage inspections, maintenance, servicing, and testing in accordance with the FAA and manufacturer’s approved maintenance and preventative repair programs;
  • Clearinghouse for all aircraft related and billing correspondence (e.g., aircraft manufacture, insurance company, FAA, taxing authorities, and subscription and maintenance tracking services);
  • Maintain all records, logbooks, and other material required by the FAA to be maintained on the Aircraft and make the same available for Owner’s inspection;
  • Keep the aircraft interior and exterior in good cosmetic appearance based on a standard mutually agreed upon between PSA and the owner; and
  • Advise on ownership and operational issues as they may arise;
  • Optional charter and leaseback programs to offset your expenses when the plane is not otherwise in use.

Shared Ownership

The PlaneSmart! Aviation Team is experienced at managing jet and turboprop aircraft owned by more than one party. You may already be in an established partnership, or, our Brokerage Services may find an Aircraft and partner for you. We can help you and your partners coordinate sticky points such as:

  • Fuel consumption
  • Engine maintenance reserve
  • Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Insurance

PlaneSmart! Charter is a FAR 135 charter operator. Some owners choose to add their airplane to our charter fleet, enabling PlaneSmart! to book flights and increase the productivity of their airplane, subject to FAA 135 oversight.
